How to create your own Pitch Deck

The purpose of the pitch deck is to summarise your business, team, innovation and financial model etc. It will give us some idea of your presentation skills and, if you are invited to the interview, we would expect you to use it to support your pitch.


You should only use the following TEN slides, with details under the headings shown. The are based on the Guy Kawasaki 10-20-30 rule.


B1. Problem

a. Describe the problem you are solving and who your are solving it for


B2. Your solution

a. Describe your solution, your product or service that solves the problem


B3. Business model and Value proposition

a. How do you make money: who are your customers, and what is the value proposition to them?


B4. Underlying magic/technology

a. What technology underpins your solution?


B5. Marketing and sales

a. Where is the market opportunity? How will you reach you customers?


B6. Risks and Competition

a. What are the risks to your business? Who else is in this space? How are you different?


B7. Team

a. Outline the key team members, founders plus key early employees

b. Indicate how their experience is relevant to this opportunity

c. Indicate how they have worked together in the past (if they have)


B8. Projections (financial) and milestones

a. Simple 3 year financial projects and milestones


B9. Status and timeline

a. Where are you today? What have you achieved so far?

b. What other programmes have you participated in?


B10. Summary

a. Summarise the above and why you should be considered for inclusion the Programme
